2019 ARTIST LINEUP

We would like to acknowledge the land where Music Calgary is home and where SoundOff Summit takes place and show our respect to Treaty 7. "These rivers, prairies, rolling foothills, and rocky mountains are home to all people of Treaty 7. With this, we understand and acknowledge that these are the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, consisting of the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani First Nations, the Îyâxe (Stoney) Nakoda, made up of the Chiniki, Wesley, and Bearspaw First Nations, and the Sarcee, Tsuut’ina First Nation. To honour the original caretakers of this land, Sound Off Summit makes it their responsibility to uphold the spirit of this river valley — a bountiful area traditionally known in Blackfoot as Moh’kinstsís [“where the Elbow meets the Bow”] — by ensuring our event is done in a good way, that we work in partnership with Indigenous voices, and create a space that operates with the utmost respect to the ancestral nations, culture, and ecology of this land." - Hannah Many Guns
