Most artists only think of the Calgary Musicians Association (Local 547) when it comes to P2 visas — but there’s so much more available to support your career. In this session, representatives from the CMA will walk you through the full range of services and opportunities they provide, from free, legally binding contracts and pension contributions to instrument insurance, emergency financial support, and advocacy at every level of government.

You’ll also learn how to access performance funding through the Music Performance Trust Fund, use the CMA’s referral directory to land more gigs, and take advantage of workshops, business resources, and collective agreements that help ensure you’re paid fairly and protected on the job.
