Each year, we bring together artists, industry professionals, and music lovers for a weekend of panels, workshops, and live performances. The Summit is designed to connect our city’s talent with visiting delegates from across Canada and beyond — building opportunities, sharing knowledge, and strengthening our creative community.

SoundOff Summit is Music Calgary’s annual music industry conference and showcase, bringing artists, music professionals and invited delegates from across Canada and beyond together in Calgary for three days of conversation, mentorship, live music and connection.
Since 2013, SoundOff has been built around a simple idea: create the right room, bring the right people together and give them the time to actually connect.
Throughout the Summit, artists can take part in panels, workshops and mentorship sessions designed around the realities of building a career in music. Visiting industry professionals share knowledge and experience while getting an opportunity to discover what is happening within Calgary and Southern Alberta’s music community.

Live music is at the heart of SoundOff.
Our curated showcases introduce visiting industry professionals and Calgary audiences to artists we believe are ready for their next opportunities. Rather than simply putting artists on a stage, SoundOff creates opportunities for meaningful introductions between artists and the people working across labels, booking agencies, festivals, publishing, management, media and other areas of the music industry.
Over the years, those introductions have helped artists build relationships that have led to label and agency representation, festival bookings, touring opportunities and connections that continue well beyond the Summit.

SoundOff isn't about filling a convention centre with thousands of people.
We intentionally keep the Summit approachable and connected. Artists, delegates and attendees see each other throughout the weekend — at panels, over coffee, at showcases, between venues and during the conversations that happen when there is actually time to hang out.
Because sometimes the most important conversation at a music conference happens after the panel is over.

For 2026, we're leaning even further into what has always made SoundOff special: the art of the hang.
We're creating more space between panels, workshops and shows so people have time to meet without an agenda, continue a conversation, introduce someone to someone else, discover an artist and build genuine relationships.
Professional development matters. Industry knowledge matters. Showcases matter.
But people create opportunities.
